Manchester Artists Book Fair

Come along to the Holden Gallery on Oxford Rd Manchester to the Manchester Artists Book Fair next Saturday. Here we are bringing our artists books and notebooks. There are a few new additions, including soem cupcake cut-out cards and some miniature world postcards. The balloon landscape cards (below) have been very popular this last month so we will have a few of them available too.

Diwali Cards

Hello the time has come to celebrate Diwali soon and I have created a set of Bespoke Diwali Cards for anyone who wants to buy these wonderful cards.

My idea of these cards have been to use old and new in my design theme. I have created a set of English and Gujarati typography Diwali cards. I used a pattern inside the design which is called 'bandini pattern' a traditional Gujarati design which is worn on sari's.

This was my first trial run to see if these hand made delights would appeal to the Indian Market. I have had a few interests and sold some in London and Bradford.I have had a lot of response and will be making a set of new cards for next year. So if anyone is interested then do contact us at upsidepress@gmail.com and we will make a batch of colourful cards.

Halifax Artists Fair

Upside Press has now had its first stall, we set up at the Bar Up Artists festival in Halifax. It was a great experience for Upside in the logistics of setting up the stall. Meeting and chatting with customers keep the day ticking along and thank you for the lovely compliments from our customers!

Here's a little introduction to who Upside Press is. It is a little collective of myself (Anna Frew) Maaya Lad and assorted other contributors who sometimes add some extra spice to the pot. As a group we make artists books and stationary in the way that we like. In the hope that other people will like it to! We also provide a bespoke bookbinding service, so if you have a book your itching to get made just drop us a line!
